Bart: Praying for you and your family. May the Lord continue to strengthen you for the ministry he has entrusted you with. Blessings, David Bustamante. CC Chino Valley
I am not sure if you remember me but we connected years ago about possibly doing ministry with you in Saint Petersburg. With everything going on today I wanted to see how you were doing. We are praying for you.
Hi Becky,
Yes, I remember your name 🙂 In a nutshell: Due to the sanctions, our family had no access to our support and that’s why we left Russia on April 2nd and arrived in Belgium on the 5th. As soon as the war began many IT- specialists were flown out with their families, and in our small church we had a few. So there were not enough men left to continue the ministry. Sadly enough I had to close the church and send the remaining couples and singles to the other (Calvary) churches.
It has been (and continues to be) the most difficult time in our lives. As a family we feel totally uprooted, and don’t know what the Lord has in store for us. We desire to go back HOME, to Russia, but it’s not clear if that’s possible. We miss our family, our church family and friends.
Please, pray for those people from our tiny Russian church that haven’t found a new fellowship yet. Changing churches is painful and difficult. Please, also pray for our kids and our family. Emotionally we are all struggling. At the same time we see the Lord’s lovingkindness and good care for our family!
Monika, our oldest daughter (15) still has to study one year after this one, and then she can graduate… but she’ll have to physically be in St. Pete for two separate exams. We drove to Belgium in a Russian car with Russian plates … we can only drive that for a certain time here, and then we’ll have to get it back to Russia… So there’s lot’s of openende questions and the uncertainty oftentimes is a heavy burden.
Thank you very much for reaching out.
Please, send me your e-mail address.
